Try canoeing, hiking, snowmobiling and dog sledding. Yellowknife, the capital of NWT, is a perfect starting point for countless activities into this rugged and wild land. Two of the biggest attractions in the NWT are the long summer days of the Midnight Sun, and the aurora borealis or Northern Lights that can be seen in the night sky from late August until January.
